The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), (“HKUST(GZ)”), was officially approved by the Ministry of Education of People’s Republic of China to enter the preparatory status in September 2019. Located in Nansha, Guangzhou, the campus covers 1.13 square kilometers and the first phase of construction is expected to be completed by September 2022. At steady state, the number of undergraduate and postgraduate students will reach a total of 10,000. Under the “Unified HKUST, Complementary Campuses” framework, the intended areas of focus in HKUST(GZ) will be thematic and cross-disciplinary in nature, synergistic with HKUST, a world-renowned international research university with innovation in her DNA. There will be four Academic Hubs (equivalent to schools) with 16 Thrust Areas (equivalent to departments).
Duties
1. Responsible for the management, guidance, supervision and inspection of all kinds of documents and files in the university archives room;
2. Responsible for the construction of archives information and digital archives room;
3. Responsible for the management and maintenance of fixed assets in the archives room;
4. Responsible for the management, compilation and research of the exhibition hall;
5. Responsible for household register management, archives publicity, statistics, and daily management of all kinds of administrative affairs in the archives room.
1. 负责大学档案室内各类文书档案的管理和业务指导、督促、检查工作;
2. 负责档案信息化建设和数字档案室搭建工作;
3. 负责管理与维护档案室内的固定资产;
4. 负责展馆管理与编研工作;
5. 负责户籍管理、档案宣传、档案统计工作以及档案室各类行政事务的日常管理工作。
任职要求
1. A bachelor’s degree or above, with more than 3 years of working experience in the field of archives management, and candidate with archives management experience in a college or university is preferred;
2. Familiar with archives management, archives cataloging, analysis and statistics, identification and arrangement, retrieval and compilation with experience in archives information construction, digital archives building and exhibition resources management;
3. Familiar with laws and regulations, rules, standards, and norms of archives work in colleges and universities;
4. Familiar with the basic theory of archival profession and cutting-edge development trends at home and abroad, able to deeply integrate archival work with higher education sector, and formulate the management plan of archives room in the university;
5. Familiar with household registration management business, able to do household registration related data collection, statistics, archiving, consulting and management, and good research ability of archival business issues and be able to formulate a comprehensive archival work plan;
6. Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure;
7. Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
1. 本科及以上学位,在档案室管理领域有3年以上的工作经验,有高校档案管理背景者优先;
2. 熟悉档案管理、档案编目、分析统计、鉴定排列和检索编制工作, 有档案信息化建设、数字档案室搭建、展览资源管理的经验;
3. 熟悉高校档案工作法律法规、规章制度、标准规范;
4. 熟悉档案专业基础理论和国内外前沿发展动态,能够将档案工作与高等教育行业进行融合,制定学校的档案室管理规划;
5. 熟悉户籍管理业务,能做好户籍相关资料的收集、统计、归档、咨询和管理工作;
6. 能够自我激励,有独立工作能力及抗压能力;
7. 优秀的中英文书写和口语能力。
This is a Mainland appointment, and the appointee will be offered a contract by HKUST Mainland entity in accordance with the Mainland labor laws and regulations. Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
